For those visiting my place for the first time, wondering what I mean by "back to regular posting" while looking quizzically at my near empty blog archive (lol) you should know that I had two semi-successful blogs before this one. I started my blogging back in 2006 as minoritynursingstudent, then in 2007 I moved up to minoritymidwiferystudent, and now, 2 months post graduation, I moved up to minoritymidwife. Welcome!
I've also been wanting to broaden my blog topics, while still staying within the realm of women's health care, especially that of black women. But right now, I whine a lot about not being to find a job, and other random stuff. Actually, I've been whining all month...
So for my first show and tell, I'm showing:
I took this photo on a beach on the east coast last year at the very end of summer. The man and I had went for our last beach day of the season and stayed until sunset for the first time. It was a really beautiful night out. I'm glad we stayed to see it. I'm grateful for him.
Although we don't have much money, we do have food, shelter, and the occasional dollar for something a lil extra.
Although we don't have health insurance, we do have our health.
And we are grateful.

5 who had something to say:
I'm such a sucker for the awesome sunset shot, and this is a great one. Welcome to the Show And Tell. You really shared an excellent sentiment here-- sometimes we don't have much in the way of material things, but what we do have is love, trust, happiness, community, etc., etc., etc. And gratitude. Important stuff.
We are heading to the Atlantic ocean for a family visit in a week or so. Love your photo and look forward to taking one of my own!
Absolutely breathtaking!
Great pic! I also love the new look of the blog :)
Beautiful pic! It is a nice break from the whining :) Just teasing!!!!! You know I can relate to the job hunt stuff. I can remember all too well wondering if I just wasted $25000.
